Colombia is the second-largest coffee producer in the world and the largest producer of washed Arabica coffee. Colombia is known for the high quality of its coffee beans. The Colombia Excelso has the highest “grade” of all coffee beans from Colombia. The Excelso has a screen size of 17/18, making it a very large coffee bean.
All Colombian coffee is “washed” coffee, which gives it a rich flavor and aroma. After the washing process, the beans are spread out on large terraces in the open air, where they are turned repeatedly until the wind and sun have completely dried them. The Colombia Excelso is grown at altitudes of around 1,750 meters.
